New EHS Protocol Review Consults

Beginning in the first quarter of 2022, EHS Animal Safety Representatives will start reaching out to labs (e.g., Principal Investigators and their designated lab staff) to conduct a review of active IACUC protocols.
The review/consultation process will involve a short virtual or phone conversation to discuss:
- Safety practices involving animals,
- A review of the hazards used, and
- An assessment to ensure the lab is following the housing levels and practices indicated by the EHS Safety Findings in eRAM.
EHS is here to educate and inform labs on safety requirements and to help maintain compliance consistency.
Please assist EHS in keeping the animals and personnel in your lab safe!
