Profile
Dr. Si first became involved in research during college, studying the molecular mechanisms of the neurological developmental disorder Angelman Syndrome. As she became more interested in the veterinary field, Dr. Si discovered laboratory animal medicine and was drawn to the mission of ensuring research animal welfare.
During veterinary school, she completed summer research fellowships in human breast cancer and aging models, as well as externships with several animal care and use programs.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Si's research interests include anesthetics and analgesia, aquatic research models, and animal welfare and enrichment.
