Resident, Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine (ULAM)
Dr. Xu became interested in the lab animal field while working as an undergraduate animal caretaker, and concurrently participating in research and design projects at the engineering and veterinary schools at UC Davis. She applied to veterinary school with the intention of becoming involved in research as a veterinarian, and found that laboratory animal medicine was a field where she could best utilize her experiences in clinical veterinary medicine, as well as biomedical research and development.
Dr. Xu has an interest in medical devices, biomaterials, and biocompatibility.
