Profile
Dr. Yang has always had a strong interest in research and veterinary medicine. Prior to attending veterinary school at National Taiwan University in Taiwan, Yang worked as a Research Assistant for four years studying gene regulation using a yeast model and loach model to study the Opsin gene.
During her Program for the Assessment of Veterinary Education Equivalence (PAVE®) year at Lousiana State University, Dr. Yang visited five different laboratory animal facilities for a period of four months. Her externship experiences include working with a wide range of species in numerous laboratory animal facilities/settings.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Yang's research interests include anesthesia and analgesia, and animal welfare and enrichment in laboratory animal medicine.
