Refinement & Enrichment Advancements Laboratory (REAL) Project Lead
Sarah manages refinement projects within the Refinement & Enrichment Advancements Laboratory (REAL), collaborating with veterinary faculty, residents, and technicians as well as laboratory staff and husbandry. Her responsibilities include coordinating social housing initiatives and behavioral interventions of social species across campus.
Sarah is also Co-Coordinator of the Compassion Awareness Project.
Prior to joining the REAL lab in 2016, Sarah spent 6 years working in various roles within the Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine's Husbandry Department, including 3 years with the transgenic breeding and social housing rabbit colony. Sarah is a Certified Laboratory Animal Behavior Professional through the Animal Behavior Institute.
