Join the Animal Care & Use Team, along with colleagues from other partner departments, as we continue preparations for the upcoming AAALAC 2020 Site Visit yellow lock icon in August. 

Co-hosted by Zachary T. Freeman, DVM, PhD, DACLAM, ULAM Faculty Veterinarian, and Erin Czarniak, BS, CPIA, LATg, Assistant Director – Quality Assurance in the Animal Care & Use Office, this session will provide guidance and insight on the Tumor Burden Policy for Rodents, including animal monitoring techniques, how to identify health concerns related to tumor growth and ulceration, and an exploration of the tools and resources available to assist labs in conducting tumor studies.
 
Virtual AAALAC Chats are short, 30-minute sessions that provide a quick overview and resources on specific topics of interest and importance to the U-M research community.

As a reminder, AAALAC site visitors will be on campus for the University of Michigan’s re-accreditation site visit beginning Tuesday, August 25 through Friday, August 28. During this time, you should anticipate a visit to all animal housing locations on campus, as well as visits to many laboratories.
