Webinar: The New NIH Data Management & Sharing Policy
Effective January 25, 2023, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will require a Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMS Plan) for all grant applications. Previously, only grants applying for more than $500,000 were required to include this Plan.
Not sure how the new policy will affect you, your research, or your upcoming grant applications? This virtual workshop, sponsored by the U-M Library, will cover how to comply with the policy and how to write a DMS Plan, plus plenty of time for Q&A.
In this session, you will learn:
- The rationale behind this new policy and its differences from the previous 2003 policy
- Tips for writing an actionable DMS Plan
- How to get assistance when writing a DMS Plan
The workshop will be presented by Joanna Thielen, Data Curation Specialist for Science and Engineering, and Sara Samuel, Health Sciences Informationist.
