Dr. Cornejo joined the Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine (ULAM) as a Faculty Veterinarian in October 2024. Prior to her time at the University of Michigan, Dr. Cornejo served as a Clinical Veterinarian with Alta Sciences Preclinical in Sacramento, CA, where she primarily worked with NHPs.
Dr. Cornejo received her veterinary degree from Western University of Health Sciences and her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences from California Polytechnic State University–Pomona. She completed her residency and PhD training at the City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States, from 2015 to 2020.

Dr. Cornejo’s research interest is focused on the novel delivery of drug therapies for ovarian cancer.
