Profile

Gerry Hish, DVM, DACLAM, first joined ULAM as a Faculty Veterinarian in June. He also serves as the Program Director for the ULAM Postdoctoral Clinical Training Program. Dr. Hish brings a great deal of experience to U-M, including serving on the staff of the University of Washington’s Comparative Medicine Department and, most recently, as the Director of the Animal Care Program at Wayne State University.

He received his veterinary degree from Virginia Tech and spent 11 years in the Washington, D.C. area in private practice before transitioning to research. Dr. Hish completed his residency in laboratory animal medicine with ULAM and U-M from 2010-2013.
