Profile

Dr. Pettinari received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Northeastern University and his BVM&S from the University of Glasgow.

He worked with the Harvard Concord Field Station with guinea fowl and goats as an undergraduate, and the Franklin Park Zoo designing enrichment devices for coyotes. During his BVM&S, he investigated the prevalence of reproductive disease in cattle. After spending two years in private practice, Dr. Pettinari transitioned to a research role at MIT focusing on making gastrointestinal resident devices.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Pettinari’s research interests include surgical techniques, transgenics, translational medicine, experiment design, and reproduction.
