Profile

As Assistant Manager of Husbandry Services, Lindsey is responsible for aiding the Animal Husbandry Management Team with the day-to-day operations of numerous animal care facilities, including assistance with animal housing, shipping, and transport services; facility and equipment maintenance; monitoring of cage/room environmental conditions; and general oversight of the standards of care for all animals housed on campus.

Professional Background

Mrs. Allen has worked in the Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine since 2005, including 10 years with the ULAM Breeding Colony where she provided specialized breeding schemes and colony management for multiple research labs. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, Lindsey worked as a Naturalist at Nankin Mills Interpretive Center where she provided environmental educational programming to local school groups and scouting organizations.
