As Animal Safety Coordinator, Lisa serves as the liaison between the Animal Care & Use Program and the Department of Environment, Health & Safety. She is responsible for ensuring that safe work practices are in place, which includes containment housing procedures, appropriate sharps disposal, the functionality of cage changing stations, and collaborating on ergonomic solutions to various job duties.
Lisa also leads the campus-wide sanitation validation program to verify that any equipment which comes into contact with animals is appropriately sanitized.
