Dr. Martin joined the Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine (ULAM) as a faculty veterinarian in August 2016, and was appointed Director of the Refinement & Enrichment Advancements Laboratory (REAL) in March 2018. She earned her D.V.M. from the Veterinary School at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
Prior to joining ULAM, Dr. Martin completed a residency in Laboratory Animal Medicine and a Master’s in Comparative and Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University, where she also taught several hands-on training courses for veterinary students.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Martin’s research interests include swine, environmental enrichment, and analgesia.
