In late February, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) announced that there is an updated list of elements that should be included in an NIH Data Management & Sharing Plan (DMS Plan).
The new list of DMS Plan elements is effective for NIH grant applications with a due date on or after May 25, 2026. After this date, researchers will be required to use the NIH’s new DMS Plan Format Page.
The U-M Library will be hosting a virtual workshop on Wednesday, May 6, for members of the U-M research community to learn more about the updated requirements for writing an NIH DMS Plan. Time will also be set aside at the end of the session for questions.
Learn more and register via the U-M’s Teaching and Technology Collaborative website. Please note: advanced registration is required to receive the Zoom login information.
