The ULAM Technical Services Team recently completed a re-organization, re-structuring, and re-strategizing process in order to continue providing the same high-quality technical services the U-M research community has come to expect.
A few areas where you can expect to see these changes:
- Collaboration with the ULAM Training Core — The Technical Services Team has been re-structured to include close collaboration with the ULAM Training Core. As a result, the team is now able to offer additional training for PIs and their lab staff on specific techniques requested by the lab. The team’s trainers and technicians have many years of experience encompassing academic biomedical research, pharmaceutical and environmental toxicology, and diagnostic veterinary pathology.
- Hours of Operation — Technical Services' hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, weekend and holiday hours are unavailable at this time. If you have a service/procedure scheduled for a weekend or holiday, a member of the Technical Services Team can provide training to personnel on the procedure to be performed a minimum of a week in advance of the scheduled service time. No additional service fee will apply.
- New Technical Services Request Form — In an effort to streamline the service request process, the Technical Services Request Form has been updated. All requests should be submitted via the new Technical Services Request Form. A minimum of two weeks’ notice is required in advance of the requested service date.
