Catch Up on Discussion Topics, FAQs from Spring 2025 ULAM Faculty Vet Check-In Meetings

To help keep the research community apprised of important updates and changes impacting animal care and use at the University of Michigan, ULAM Faculty Veterinarians hosted veterinary check-in meetings in May 2025.

If you were unable to attend a meeting and would like to learn more about what was discussed, meeting resources are now available to review and download.

Discussion topics included:

  • Overview of Beyond Use Dates
  • Reminders for handling hazardous substances on your protocol
  • Procedures veterinary technicians can perform
  • Turning in surgical/anesthetic records
  • Large animal imaging and logistics
  • Additional updates regarding ULAM Training Core, changes to the Hazardous Substance Administration SOP, and more
