When to Cite
Each service area endorses the Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF) policies and guidelines on Authorship and Acknowledgement.
Guidelines for core services warranting co-authorship and/or acknowledgement can be found on the ABRF website. Generally, acknowledgement is appropriate for routine services. “Substantive intellectual contributions” (e.g., data analysis or novel methods development) by core personnel may warrant co-authorship.
About RRIDs
Supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Research Resource Identification (RRID) initiative was launched to help enhance rigor, reproducibility, and transparency in biomedical research.
RRIDs are unique, persistent identifiers used to reference “key biological resources (i.e., antibodies, model organisms, and software projects)” in biomedical literature.
All supported resource types are indexed on a centralized, searchable RRID web portal (https://rrid.site).
