
Due to the U-M’s upcoming holiday season days, all hazardous waste collection, waste disposal supply deliveries, and radioactive material deliveries/transfers will be suspended from 4:00PM on Friday, December 19 – 8:00 AM on Monday, January 5, 2026.
- Hazardous Waste Collection/Supply Delivery – To schedule hazardous waste collection/supply delivery, contact Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) at (734) 763-4568 by Wednesday, December 17.
- Radioactive Material Orders – Request a Radiation Safety Service clearance code by Monday, December 15, and confirm with vendors that radioactive materials will arrive at EHS no later than 12:00 PM (noon) on Friday, December 19.
- Transfers of Radioactive Material – Please contact EHS at (734) 647-1143 by Monday, December 15, for radioactive material transfer requests.
Ensure the Safe Shutdown of Labs that will NOT be Operating During the 2025 Holiday Season Days by:
- Securing all chemicals,
- Shutting down equipment, and
- Closing fume hood sashes. Where available, switch them to the “low” or “unoccupied” setting.
