Effective Wednesday, February 18: Change to Cornerstone Learning Login

Training

The login process for Cornerstone Learning– the learning management system for all animal care and use training classes required by the Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee – will be changing effective Wednesday, February 18.

These changes do NOT require you to take any action. However, in the interest of transparency we wanted to share this information in advance of the February 18 implementation date as the user login experience will be different, especially for those individuals who do not have an existing Michigan Medicine email account.

What is Changing?

  • All users will log in using their User Principal Name (UPN): U-M uniqname + @med.umich.edu ([email protected]) and U-M password regardless of whether they have a Michigan Medicine email account. If you do not currently have an @med.umich.edu email address, one is NOT being created for you through this process.
  • The current web login page (see screenshot at left below) will be replaced by a Michigan Medicine-branded Microsoft login page (see screenshot at right below).

Why is This Change Being Made?

The Identity Management Team is working to enhance Michigan Medicine sign-on processes in preparation for the university’s transition to the new Okta multi-factor authentication system on Wednesday, February 25.

To minimize disruption and ensure a smoother user experience during the larger Okta rollout, Cornerstone Learning is proactively moving to a new Identity Provider (Entra).
