Due to unforeseen circumstances, the processes by which rates are reviewed and approved by the University’s Enterprise Financial Planning & Analysis Office have been delayed.
This delay impacts several Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine (ULAM) service areas whose rates are typically evaluated on an annual basis coinciding with the start of U-M’s fiscal year (July 1).
Impacted ULAM service areas include:
- ULAM Pathology Core
- Germ-Free Mouse Facility
- Animal Surgery Operating Rooms
- Husbandry services for aquatics species (zebrafish and frogs)
- Select high-level containment housing facilities
New rates will be shared with all customers as soon as they become available. This information will be shared via email, on the Animal Care & Use Program website, and in MiCORES (where applicable).
We understand that any rate fluctuation(s) can substantially impact your research, and apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause.
