In partnership with several cross-campus units, the University of Michigan (U-M) will be hosting an inaugural Sustainable Lab Summit on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, to address the environmental impact of research labs.
This event aims to bring like-minded researchers together to share best practices, spur innovation via educational sessions, and connect participants with existing resources.
Key themes include:
- Lab sustainability in undergraduate and graduate student curriculum
- Waste reduction and reuse in labs
- Grant funding for sustainability in labs
- Scope 3 emissions and the unseen impacts from labs
- Sustainability and environmental justice
Registration details:
- Registration is open to any U-M staff, faculty, or student on the Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses. There is no fee to attend!
- Registration is open until the event, but food is only guaranteed if you register by Monday, January 27
