Profile

Dr. Hasler received her bachelor’s degree from Kalamazoo College and her veterinary degree from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. During her undergraduate and veterinary studies, she was involved in summer research projects investigating canine cancer and the applications of high-resolution microendoscopy to veterinary medicine.


Dr. Hasler spent 2 years working as a small animal veterinarian in the UK before transitioning to work in medical editing and writing, which further piqued her interests in research. Her experiences in clinical practice and research inspired her to join UM’s Postdoctoral Clinical Training Program in laboratory animal medicine.
 

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Hasler’s research interests include infectious diseases, pain control, and working with animal models of disease.
