Profile

Dr. Thi attended North Carolina State University and first discovered laboratory animal medicine during a summer internship at NIEHS in the Research Triangle Park. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Zoology, she worked briefly as a laboratory animal care technician at UNC Chapel Hill, before returning to North Carolina State University to complete her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. 
 
During veterinary school, she participated in research projects involving sedation and analgesia in bullfrogs, and the role of the immune system in aging canines.  
 

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dr. Thi’s research interests include animal enrichment and anesthesia and pain management techniques of exotic animals.
