
U-M’s Research and Academic Safety Committee (RASC) and the department of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) are hosting Benjamin Hess, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology Museum Registrar, on Wednesday, July 16, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, for a webinar on policies related to biological materials on campus.
Hess will give an overview of the current regulations, general safety considerations, and best practices for bringing biological materials to U-M in alignment with university policy and federal regulations.
Hess serves as the administrative coordinator for incoming and outgoing specimens, loan management, and permit coordination, and is the Ecology & Evolutionary Biology Museum’s safety representative to the Research Museums Center.
All members of the U-M research community are invited to attend.
