Second Annual GOLD Day on May 3, 2024 icon

The Animal Care & Use Program is pleased to announce that its second annual GOLD Day will take place on Friday, May 3, 2024.

Launched in 2023, GOLD Day is a unique opportunity for laboratories to set aside dedicated time for personnel to Go Organize, Label, and Dispose of drugs, medical materials, surgical supplies, agents, and other substances administered to – or used in – ANY animal procedure.

Questions?

Members of the Animal Care & Use Program, along with our many cross-campus partners, are available to answer any questions or concerns you may have about the appropriate use of drugs and other substances in animal procedures.

  • Questions about the use of specific drugs or other medical materials in animals should be directed to your ULAM Faculty Veterinarian. If you don’t know your faculty veterinarian, send an inquiry to [email protected] and your question will be routed appropriately.
  • If you would like assistance with establishing a system to monitor for expired materials in your laboratory, please contact the Quality Assurance Team in the Animal Care & Use Office at [email protected].
  • Questions about proper disposal of controlled substances should be directed to [email protected].
  • To request waste pick up or supplies, contact EHS Hazardous Materials Management at (734) 763-4568 or complete an online Waste and Supply Request Form.
