Fiscal Year 2026 M-Inform Disclosure Updates

U-M’s annual outside interest disclosure process began Tuesday, July 1, coinciding with the start of Fiscal Year (FY) 2026. To help the research community effectively submit required disclosure information, the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) has aggregated several important resources.

Disclosers are encouraged to refresh their knowledge on what to disclose as an outside activity, interest, or relationship by reviewing the updated Outside Activity Disclosure Guidance Document. The U-M Conflict of Interest (COI) Offices are also available throughout the year to assist disclosers with their questions about outside activities or M-Inform. yellow lock icon denoting level-1 U-M login required for access

Learn more about What’s New for FY26, the outside interest disclosure process, and review the “Key Steps to Disclose in M-Inform” resource, which describes the top three actions disclosers must do within M-Inform to successfully submit their disclosure.

As a reminder, M-Inform is updated each fiscal year, as needed, in response to new federal and state regulations/guidelines and U-M policy changes. The COI process should be completed in M-Inform beginning July 1, with any disclosures updated within 30 days of any change(s) thereafter.
