Important Notice: Buprenorphine Recall

We have recently learned of a recall issued by Par Health for specific lots of Buprenorphine Injection 0.3mg/mL, 1mL (details outlined in the table below).

This voluntary recall was initiated due to the potential for the presence of white, crystalline product particulates which are comprised of the drug product formulation, principally Buprenorphine free base.

These products were shipped to distributors – including MWI Animal Health (MWI) – beginning on June 11, 2025.

To ensure that these products are NOT administered to animals, please take the following actions as soon as possible:

  1. Identify and separate all affected product(s) in your inventory
  2. Discontinue use of any affected product(s)
  3. Complete an Inmar Response Form (available via PDF download) to initiate the return process –
  4. Inmar will provide a Return Kit upon receipt of the Response Form. Please note: this is required before product(s) can be returned
  5. Ship product(s) to Inmar at the following address:

      Grand Prairie, TX 75050
  6. MWI will issue you a credit once the returned product(s) are received and processed by Inmar
