U-M’s annual outside interest disclosure process, managed through M-Inform,
began Wednesday, July 1. The M-Inform system is updated at the start of each new fiscal year to ensure that the institution and all individuals remain compliant with federal and state regulations designed to safeguard objectivity in research.
The Conflict of Interest (COI) process should be completed in M-Inform starting July 1, with any disclosures updated within 30 days of any change(s) thereafter.
Members of the research community are encouraged to refresh their knowledge of what to disclose by reviewing the recently updated Outside Activity Guidance Document.
A preview of the latest version of the disclosure form, which displays all pages, questions, and conditional sub-questions individuals may see when reporting a new outside activity in M-Inform, is available via the M-Inform Disclosure Questions (Sample) document.
