The Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine (ULAM) recently welcomed two new veterinary residents.
ULAM Veterinary Residents
ULAM welcomed two new veterinary residents on July 1, 2025:
- Emily Benedict, DVM (pictured top)
- Andrew Joseph Pettinari, BVM&S (pictured bottom)
After receiving training and orientation to U-M’s Animal Care & Use Program, the residents will begin their clinical duties in our animal care facilities.
During their intensive three-year training program, the residents will work with – and learn from – ULAM Faculty Veterinarians, their fellow residents, and the wider ULAM animal care staff to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue specialty board certification from the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine.
Please join us in congratulating ULAM’s new residents on becoming part of the U-M research community!
