Lucy Kennedy Named U-M’s Assistant Attending Veterinarian, Assistant Director for Clinical Services in ULAM

Lucy Kennedy, DVM, DACLAM, has been appointed to the roles of Assistant Attending Veterinarian for the University of Michigan and Assistant Director for Clinical Services in the Unit for Laboratory Animal Medicine (ULAM).

Both appointments were effective May 1, 2020.

As Assistant Director for Clinical Operations, Dr. Kennedy will have managing oversight of veterinary clinical operations and quality assurance. As Assistant Attending Veterinarian (AAV), she will represent veterinary clinical operations related to animal welfare and compliance for the Animal Care & Use Program and throughout the institution.

Dr. Kennedy joined ULAM as a faculty veterinarian in July 2016 and was appointed Program Director of the Germ-Free Mouse Facility in Fall 2017. Kennedy received her veterinary degree from Michigan State University and completed her Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DACLAM) certification in 2016.

Prior to joining the ULAM faculty, Dr. Kennedy served as a Clinical Veterinarian at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
