Co-hosted by Melissa Dyson, DVM, MS, DACLAM, U-M Senior Associate Attending Veterinarian, and Dawn O’Connor, LVT, CPIA, Assistant Director – Research Compliance in the Animal Care & Use Office, the Virtual AAALAC Chat: Rat & Mice Euthanasia Procedures will explore recent updates to American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Euthanasia Guidelines, with a specific emphasis on standards for carbon dioxide (CO2) procedures for euthanasia in rodents.
Virtual AAALAC Chats are short, 30-minute sessions that provide a quick overview and resources on specific topics of interest and importance to the U-M research community.

As a reminder, AAALAC site visitors will be on campus for the University of Michigan’s re-accreditation site visit beginning Tuesday, August 25 through Friday, August 28.
